Beijing 2015 - Ashton Eaton wins Decathlon with new World Record 9045 points (0)

Ashton Eaton breaks his own Decathlon World Record as he takes gold medal at World Championships in Beijing 2015. With an all-out run in the final event, the 1500 meters, Eaton finished Decathlon with 9045 points. It was six points better than the mark he set at U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene 2012.

Eaton had taken 2014 off from the Decathlon, since there were no World Championships or Olympic Games that year, and withdrew before his previous Decathlon this year with a back injury.
