Kevin Mayer won the decathlon at the 2010 World Junior Championships in Moncton with a world U20 leading score of 7928 points. Russia’s Ilya Shkurenyov took silver with 7830, while Sweden’s Marcus Nilsson earned bronze with 7751. The competition was held on 20–21 July with a 6 kg shot, 99 cm hurdles and 1.75 kg discus.
