Ashton Eaton won the decathlon at the Texas Relays in Austin, but he fell short of setting a collegiate record.

The Oregon senior scored a wind-aided 8310 points, a personal record, to easily outdistance Michael Morrison of California, second with 7557.

Eaton's serie: 10,34 (PB) - 7.88 (PB) - 13.11 - 2.02 - 47,06 - 13,85 - 43.71 (PB) - 4.60 - 52.19 - 4.41,43.

Trey Hardee, then competing for Texas, set the collegiate record of 8465 in 2006.
