Didn’t finish:
Severin Moser (SUI), Sergio Taddeucci (ITA).
Historical note: Utrecht would become a memorable city for two generations of the Moser family. Swiss decathlete Severin Moser did not finish the 1981 European Junior Championships here, but 32 years later his daughter Angelica returned to the city and won pole vault gold at the European Youth Olympic Festival with 4.07.
