CR - championship record

Didn’t finish:
Robert Wärff (SWE), Jarkko Finni (FIN), Marc Paternote (BEL).

Historical note: Michael Kohnle’s championship record outlasted his junior career by more than two decades. Set in Varaždin in August 1989, his 8114 points remained unbeaten at these championships until 24 July 2011, when Kevin Mayer scored 8124 in Tallinn — improving the mark by just ten points almost 22 years later.
