Olympic Games are the most important sport events in the world. They bring together the best athletes in the world from all continents. Olympic games are held every four years.

World Championships are in the second place after the Olympic games and they are held every two years.

European Chamiponships are the most important competitions in Europe and are held every two years.

Commonwealth Games are the international multi-sport event involving athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations. The event was first held in 1930, and has taken place every four years.

Pan American Games are the major sporting event in the Americas. The competition is held among athletes from nations of the Americas, every four years in the year before the Summer Olympic Games.

World University Games, formerly the Universiade, is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The former name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad".
