Christoph user	Posted: May 31, 2011 A small résumé: 1) Even though the list of absentees was longer than usaual (Sebrle, Clay, Eaton, Barras, El Fassi, Krauchanka, Smith, Pogorelov, Drozdov, Sysoyev, Kharlamov, Schrader, Niklaus, Abele, Wiberg, Martineau, Booraada, Bertocchi ... did I miss somebody?) with 66142 for the top 8 still a good result. 2) After last year's rainy and cold weather (the worst in more than 20 visits) the real Moesle weather was back! 3) Excellent young guys (Knboel, Freimuth, van der Plaetsen - also Distelberger and Prey). Knobel improved by 530 points! 4) According to VN (Vorarlberger Nachrichten): 6 PBs in decathlon, 33 PBs in single events 5) Winner's score von 8689 is a good result. One can't always expect 8800, 8900 or a WR. Trey Hardee managed this with mediocre technique in all throwing events (even if he did a PB in the shot put)! 6) Good show in PV. Did ever a decathlete his first attempt at 5.16m or higher??? 7) Brilliant javelin competetion, stadium record, 72.99 not enough to win. 8) Looking forward to next year. IP: 84.152.2...
