Eduard Hämäläinen is a former elite decathlete who competed internationally for both the Soviet Union/Belarus and later Finland, becoming one of the leading combined events athletes of the 1990s. He is best known for winning multiple major championship medals. He is the Finnish and also Belarusian decathlon record holder.
