Niklas Kaul became the youngest decathlon world champion in history at the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha. The German produced a sensational second day of the event, championed by a monster 79.05m throw in the javelin, to win gold with a score of 8691, a new personal best. Maicel Uibo also set a new PB to take silver with 8604, and Damian Warner took bronze.
