World-class statistics are a vital part of elite decathlon. Without the numbers, it's hard to truly follow the event. That's our specialty.

Concerning the decathlon, there are many ways to approach statistical analysis. These are just some examples of how decathlon results can be analysed.

Of course, one can simply compile a complete list of all decathlon results ever achieved and determine which athletes are among the most successful of all time. Another approach is to analyse individual events to find out who performs best in disciplines such as pole vault, shot put, or any other event of interest. A further possibility is to group events into categories such as throwing, running, and jumping, in order to identify the best throwers, jumpers, and runners among decathletes.
