Maurice Smith won with 8434 points leaving Roman Sebrle for second place with 8076 points. Smith produced a huge throw in the shot put of 17.78m. A personal best and a world record in decathlons over 8200 points.

Smith gets 6000 Euro for his win. The organizers hope that the event will be included into the IAAF Combined Events Challenge.
