Sysoyev has already competed once this year (though only just over 8000 points) - but maybe he's injured?? But it's a really nice entry list for the European Cup - it'll be interesting to see how Krauchanka is doing... |

Romain Barras has scored 8239 points only two weeks ago, so he seems to be healthy. He always did more decathlons a year and in quick succession (e.g. in 2007 Götzis-Arles-Kladno) than most of the others, so I think he will stand it. |

really nice results at the Combined Events Cup I think.. Nothing too great, but 8.300 is a good start into the season for both Krauchanka and Pogorelov. I suppose they might both have the chance to get over / close to 8.500 in Berlin.. does anyone know how the Russians are nominating their team for the WC? If Sysoyev is not injured or anything they should have 4 candidates to choose from (with Pogorelov having a secure place I suppose) |
