I know 3 veterans only (35 years and old) over 8000:

Janvrin 8241

Lobodin 8240

Dvorak 8020

Is there anybody else ? Could admin add veterans list to Statistics section ? Thanx

I added all time world list over 8000 points, maybe someone who have time and volition look up and will make the list...

This was doubly significant to me, as I am a huge numbers-lover, and an "old guy" myself (although I'm only 30, I plan to do this for a little while longer, and these guys give me hope!)

I posted the 35 over 8000 here:

hopefully there are more to come!

Afaik and according to the bio on decathlon2000 Wentz's 8138 was in 1990...

good catch!!

I found some other issues with wrong dates and entries, cleaned everything up and posted every mark made by anyone over 30 years old (thanks to Sebrle and Pappas this year for adding to this list) that scored over 8000 -- the list of men over 35 was too small and sad. Next will be the 35 year olds that got over 7500.

here's the new, updated link:

What about Alex Kruger, or Great Britain? He was over the age of 30 when he scored 8000 for the first time.

I am not sure when he scored over 8000 for the last time, but it may have been at 35 years of age.

in 1998, in Arles, Kruger scored 7052 (W) at 34 years 6 months.

in 2000, in Stoke he scored 6975 at almost 37 years old in a 1-hour dec.

He has many other scores between 7993 and 6800 between the ages of 19 and 32 years old, but I did post the 8131 at 31.6 years old, the 8098 at 31.55 (Gotis), and the 8078 at 30.55 (Gotis), which are the only 3 scores he has over 8000 (surprisingly, all of his scores over 8000 were done over 30 - he is the only athlete to do that!) If you know of other scores over 8000 that he has that we missed, let me know and we can update the master list.
