Does anyone know something about Trey Hardee? Does he still not have recovered from an injury?

thanks for the link to the report. i only saw the results and wondered, what's up with Bryan Clay.. already feared he wouldn't be able to compete at Osaka, but apparently he'll be invited there anyhow...

Look at the handbook of US Championships 2007

Yes, Trey came and competed at Rice here in Houston with me at a little warm up meet and it was the first time he had touched a pole for the vault in months. I don't think he wants to test his hand so soon after having a screw removed from it. But he is back to training and will be back next year. So yes the injury to his hand probably had a lot to do with him not entering the US Champs this year.

As for why my scores at the meet were so low... Just one of those meets I guess. Now on to Pan Ams and Germany and then Talence...

hey ryan! good luck a pan ams and in talence!

my hand really wasn't an issue as it turns out. i was doing everything really well except the shot. we knew i would definately take a hit there. i probably could have mustered a 14.0m throw. i severely strained right groin on my first day back doing full jav runway stuff!! this was late may and i got caught between giving it rest and time and not wanting to lose any fitness i had gained in the past few months. so it lingered and never really came around and by the week of USA's i was unsure that i would be able to compete and if i did, i'm positive that i would have messed it up even worse than before. it was painful seeing you guys run into headwinds, AGAIN! wish i could have been there. congrats on the finish and i'll definately see you around.

if you're going to be in houston and need anything this summer (someone to run, jump, train with), i'm only a couple hours away and would love to.

take it easy!
