hey ryan! good luck a pan ams and in talence!

my hand really wasn't an issue as it turns out. i was doing everything really well except the shot. we knew i would definately take a hit there. i probably could have mustered a 14.0m throw. i severely strained right groin on my first day back doing full jav runway stuff!! this was late may and i got caught between giving it rest and time and not wanting to lose any fitness i had gained in the past few months. so it lingered and never really came around and by the week of USA's i was unsure that i would be able to compete and if i did, i'm positive that i would have messed it up even worse than before. it was painful seeing you guys run into headwinds, AGAIN! wish i could have been there. congrats on the finish and i'll definately see you around.

if you're going to be in houston and need anything this summer (someone to run, jump, train with), i'm only a couple hours away and would love to.

take it easy!

Re: Decathlon Training

work is already done one or two weeks out from a decathlon.

i like to hit at least one or two sessions with some speed endurance and max velocity stuff to make sure i'm timed up and capable of running fast. from there, just make sure you know your cues in each of the technical events and you're done... well, at least i am.
