East Germany – Soviet Union decathlon match Dresden 1987

East Germany – Soviet Union decathlon match Dresden 1987 combined an international team contest with the East German national combined events championships at the Heinz-Steyer-Stadion. Torsten Voss won with 8429 points ahead of Christian Schenk with 8228 and the Soviet Union’s Pavel Tarnovetski with 8148. East Germany won the men’s team contest, while Voss, Schenk and Thomas Fahner claimed the national decathlon medals.
