Kevin Mayer
Kevin Mayer set a new world record in the decathlon with 9126 points at the Decastar meeting on September 2018. He was the 3rd decathlete ever to break the 9000-point barrier.
World Record
Since 1922, 38 decathlon world records have been set - 8 at the Olympics, with the last in 1984—but score comparisons over time are difficult due to multiple changes in the points tables.
