Maicel Uibo became NCAA decathlon champion in 2014 and 2015. At the 2018 World Indoor Championships in Birmingham, he earned a bronze medal in the heptathlon, setting a personal best of 6265 points. At the 2019 World Championships in Doha he dazzled with a silver medal in the decathlon, achieving a personal best of 8604 points.
