Suares really wants to be at the big game - 76.98 at the first attempt at javelin.

I wonders about the reasons why Eaton did not even try 5.30 at pole vault? Having seen his motivation and power at multi event competitions, the reason must be serious. Of course the total is good enough for the gold medal.

Looking forward to what Hardee has got for the javelin.

Has been really a nice decathlon so far.

Eaton did it again. What a passion and motivation! Majority of decathletes never run 1500m near to their PB, but he set the new PB in this event as well. Whoaaaa! Just simply crazy!

So, the first event of heptathlon is already over, with Ashton Eaton on top.

A couple of minutes ago, Mr. Eaton has begun the long jump with the result of 8.16m. Yes, 8.16, not 7.16.

With all that said, what do you think who's going to win?
