Die Zahlenspielerei mal weiter getrieben:

In der IAAF/WA-Tabelle für den Mehrkampf von 1985 sind die bis dahin erfolgten technischen Weiterentwicklungen eingerechnet worden.
Das hat gegenüber Athleten vor der Zeit Kunststoffbahnen/Fosbury-Flop , neue Stabhochsprungstäbe u.a. Leistungsverschiebungen gebracht.

Um nun Thorpe/Osborn/Yrjölä in etwa vergleichen zu können, habe ich in folgenden Disziplinen Korrekturen eingefügt.
Weitsprung= Leistung des Athleten + 30 cm
Hochsprung = + 10 cm
Stabhochsprung = + 100 cm

Danach werden die Ergebnisse alle mit der Wertung 1985 bewertet, mit folgendem Resultat:
