Kip Janvrin - 8241 points (22 June 2001, Eugene). He was almost 36 years old. Kip Janvrin was born on 08 July 1965.

It was remarkable that, in a lengthy, high-quality career, that decathlon when Kip was just shy of 36 was his 4th highest score, and his best ever day 2 score.

Sebrle is now 36. He certainly is still capable of 8000+. Let's hope he does it.
