Topic started by: Daniel Urien subscriber	Posted: Mar 23, 2010 Kip Janvrin (born july 8th 1965, 44yo) performed a 6657 points at the San Angelo (TX) spring break decathlon last week end : 11.76 6.19 13.43 1.74 51.80 15.85 36.06 4.26 52.16 4.47.63 Is somebody knows a decathlete at 44 with a >6600 points ? (Simon Poelman from NZL had performed a 6735 at 40 in 2005...................but Janvrin highlighted at 7670 art the same age, and also in 2005).

Not only because he’s also world record holder for the double decathlon but also because he has six absolute age-world-records in decathlon and two in heptathlon. The only athlete (with senior implements) I know of, who still has an absolute age-world-record is (as far as I know) Rex Harvey.
