I was gone for a couple of days without the time to comment on the Indoor WC.

Actually I have to say I was quite disappointed as there was no TV coverage at all from the event here in Germany (I don't know about other places of course).

And it seems to have been quite a close competition (as expected maybe). Though I expected a bit higher scores in the end, especially with respect to Ashton Eaton's score at the NCAAs


The top individual results for me are definitely Krauchanka's high jump (2,18 is a huge height) and Drozdov's shot put. Also Clay's 60m dash was quite fast, the time would almost have given him a spot in the 60m finals actually..


I have to say I'm a bit disappointed by Kasyanov - he could have done a bit more in the pole vault (I think in Berlin he cleared 4,80m), which would have given him the chance for a medal maybe. Also the long jump results in general are rather average, if you look at the fact that many of the athletes are actually quite good jumpers.
