There will be first class competitors on the start list with Athens 2004 Olympic Champion Roman Sebrle, bronze medalist Leonel Suarez of the 2008 Beijing summer Olympics and silver medal winner of the 2007 World Championships in Osaka Maurice Smith. The spectators will be able to witness the first heptathlon of the 2008 Junior World Championships winner Jan Felix Knobel. Also Estonia's best of the event are present, featuring Andres Raja, who is going for the "ticket" to the forthcoming European Indoor Championships.

In addition to men’s heptathlon, there will be pentathlon for women in the program for the forth time in the meet’s history.
