Lindon Victor, medalist from Budapest 2023 and Talence Winner of the Décastar 2022, will be present to defend his title in Talence, Nouvelle Aquitaine - The countdown is on for the 2023 edition of the prestigious Decastar, international decathlon and heptathlon event.

Organized by ADEM and part of the World Athletics circuit of combined events, the Decastar is classified by the international federation at the same level as the Continental Championships, creating thus an opportunity for athletes to obtain their qualification for Paris 2024. This classification is provoking, less than a year before the Olympic Games, an unprecedented enthusiasm for share of the best athletes in the world (>8000 pts for men and >6000 pts for women).

The set is being finalized but we can already announce that we will welcome for the first time in Talence 18 decathletes and 18 heptathletes including several who were present at the last World Championships in Budapest.

The Pierre Paul Bernard stadium in Talence will host not only elite athletes, but also a passionate crowd of 15,000 spectators over the two days of competition. This major event attracts worldwide attention, highlighting the exceptional talent and commitment of participants.

Decastar 2023 promises to be a memorable sporting festival, combining high-level competition, international camaraderie and unforgettable moments of achievement. Don't miss this opportunity to live the passion of athletics in all its splendor during this event!
