Aleksandr Pogorelov emerged as the 2008 World leader in the heptathlon, after his triumph at the Cup of Moscow . World season’s best were registered with 6005 points (7,10 - 7.63 - 15.73 - 2.05 - 8,12 - 4.70 - 2.52,97).
Arkadi Vasilyev was second with 5925 and Aleksandr Zyabrev third with 5721 points.
