I’m a decathlon expert focusing on the history and statistics of the event. I explore the stories, performances, and athletes that define the legacy of the decathlon.
I started Decathlon 2000 back in 1999, simply because I couldn’t find enough reliable information about combined events online. At the time, even basic event-by-event results were difficult to access.
There is a story I still remember: I once asked a sports editor at one of Estonia’s leading newspapers for decathlon results. The reply was short and disappointing — and it was clear that detailed data was not a priority. Back then, getting complete results with a single click felt like something for the distant future. I decided not to wait.
So I started building it myself. That was the beginning of Decathlon 2000.
Since then, I have spent thousands of hours each year developing and updating the platform, verifying data, and expanding the database. Today, Decathlon 2000 provides up-to-date results and detailed athlete profiles from around the world.
Decathlon is not just a sport — it is a combination of endurance, power, and precision.
