For field events guys the trade off is an easy sell. We run a 52 second quarter mile and we think we're the next Jeremy Wariner. For a guy who once ran a 47 second quarter mile the thought of running any slower than 48.9 is a chilling nightmare.

Well as long as sacraficing track times is unthinkable so is getting the most out of your throws. It's a choice.

What is a 4:10 1500m going to do for you? Or to you?
