I'd love to learn what's generally considered the greatest single decathlon contest, measured by depth and quality of the entire field. I've been under the impression that it was at the Atlanta Olympics, with these marks: 5th place: 8613 10th place: 8300 15th place: 8249 22 people over 8000 but it's very possible I'm overlooking a contest. Thoughts, or counter-suggestions? IP: 174.116.... |

I agree - Atlanta OG #1 Götzis 2000 #2 1st 8900 3rd 8742 (Atlanta 8664) 5th 8554 8th 8445 (Atlanta 8318) 10th 8153 15th 8017 15 over 8000 sum of top-8: 68964 (Atlanta 68734) , which is often used for a ranking of deca competitions (e.g. Hans van Kuijen's books). IP: 87.179.1... |
