Hello!

It wanted to know with that type, class of javelin Roman Sebrle threw 71m.
Nordic (70m, 80m 90m) and javelin with flex 4.5 to 6-6.1 to 8 or 8.1 to 10.

To throw 65m, 70m that class of javelin use the decathlon athletic. What flex?

Thank you very much

Javelin flexibility: flex 4.5 to 6-6.1 to 8 or 8.1 to 10
Those numbers above are used by Nordic, 4,5 to 6 Hard,
6.1 to 8 hard to medium, 8.1 to 10 medium to soft, 10.1+ soft to very soft

Javelins 85m+ or stiffness 6 are Recommended for technically skilled, physically capable throwers. Requires accurate release!
Better technical execution results more accurate throws, thus stiffer javelins can be used, which results longer throws due to the decreased vibration and air resistance (drag).

If the throwers' skills are still under development and the throws are more frequently inaccurate, medium or soft composite javelins are the better option, because these javelins compensate better for inaccurate release
Javelins below 80m are for less accurate release. Let say 70m javelin can compensate inaccurate release is elbow friendly.

Jan Zelezny was using 80m, 85, 90m javelins

At flex 8.1 to 10.0, the javelin designed so that they will land with the tip first clear even at moderate throws. These are best suited for example for Decathlon throwers, who do not have javelin as one of its main disciplines.

If you are sure that your release is very accurate then go for best one you can afford if not then Nemeth Standard 60/70m would be my choice (200/251€)
