I saw that karpov scored more than 8000 pts in kladno, and i was wondering which other decathletes scored more than 8000pts with more than 100kg weight which is very impressive considering that running and jumping events are not that easy with a big body. I believe michael smith was above 100kg too. Do you know other decathletes in this case?

Brian Oldfield is 22. 75m WR shot putter in 1975; He had outstanding performances 1. 98m in HJ , 10. 5s 100m , 62m discus, 64m javelin. This is the kind of decathlete i'd like to see more often. 2metres for 110 kg. I let you apreciate his hability in this video where he dunk with a 7. 260kg shot put, run a 60m and throw shot put at more than 22m.

Kevin mayer just won junior world championship with 7926pts . Here's his 1500m: 4min21s to win the title!!

no surprise for the first place ; eaton et shrader and for the podium mayer can come back if he makes 15s better than warner. For the others, there are too far and not good enough at the 1500m. It looks like warner will be and the box though.

after two events, deathletes who still have chance to get a medal or finalist : eaton, scharder, berhrenbuch, suarez, sintnicolaas, chinin, hardee,warner mayer, freimuth, nixon(impressive!! i can't wait the hj!) that makes a lot of people, it should be tight from 2nd to 8th.

I believe that ashton eaton would make above 8700pts and clay 8500 like you said olorin. Anyway i am very excited to see what he can do with such speed, i hope he is in shape... let's see on thursday
