Hans van Alphen won the 2012 IAAF Combined Events Challenge with 25259 points, ahead of Pascal Behrenbruch and Olexiy Kasyanov.

The 2011 IAAF Combined Events Challenge brought together the world’s leading decathletes, with Cuba’s Leonel Suárez claiming the overall title after scoring a combined 25172 points from his three counting decathlons.

Kevin Mayer won the men’s decathlon at the 2010 IAAF World Junior Championships in Moncton with 7928 points, becoming U20 world champion ahead of Ilya Shkurenyov and Marcus Nilsson.

Thomas van der Plaetsen won the men’s decathlon at the 2009 European Athletics U20 Championships in Novi Sad, scoring 7769 points for Belgium ahead of Petter Olson (7734) and Kai Kazmirek (7639).

Andrei Krauchanka’s 8390 was the Multistars meeting record. He broke the previous one, which was 8339 points set in 2000 by Jiří Ryba.
