Jon Ryan Harlan is an American former decathlete who captured the 2004 NCAA title and went on to become one of the nation’s top all-around athletes before transitioning into a successful coaching career in Houston.

At the 2006 Talence Decathlon Meeting, Kazakhstan’s Dmitri Karpov claimed victory with 8438 points ahead of Aleksei Drozdov and Roman Šebrle.

Hans van Alphen won the 2011 Talence Decastar with 8200 points, narrowly defeating Mikk Pahapill and Eelco Sintnicolaas in one of the closest finishes in the meeting's history.
