Re: Special rankings and statistics
I dont expect you to make them Rafal otherwise you won't have to sleep this winter! Nevertheless I explain the 1013 combinations. (Maybe you know the formula but I explain for the fan). Like the 9, 8, 7, 6. . . (to get the 45) there is a mathematical logic. From 1 event you can make 1 list. From 2 events you can make 3 lists or for example 1 from 100m and 1 from LJ plus 1 combined. From 3 …
Re: Special rankings and statistics
With ten digits there is a possibility of 1013 combinations plus 10 lists of 1 event. I like your lists very much. Maybe you should send it to Janek. Put your name under it (you deserve the credit) and let him present it as a weekly list or weekly lists. Its an idea I was thinking about before I saw your beautiful work. Daniel is there for the minor flaws.(Good work to.) Love it. Chris
Re: New version of Decathlon 2000 is coming
I can only say the same as is allready said: Dear Janek you're doing a fantastic job.
Re: Kip Janvrin
Made a mistake. Janvrins recent absolute age world record is 44years, 8 months, 11 days for 6657 Points.
Re: Kip Janvrin
Daniel, Kip Janvrin is indeed absolutely a living legend. Not only because he’s also world record holder for the double decathlon but also because he has six absolute age ‐world ‐records in decathlon and two in heptathlon. The only athlete (with senior implements) I know of, who still has an absolute age ‐world ‐record is (as far as I know) Rex Harvey. Here’s my …
Re: Finland 2007 european indoor master
Hello, I only know the European record for the Indoor ‐pentathlon with a 60 m to start with. Thats the one from Christian Plaziat in 1990. Here are his performances: 60m 8. 06/ LJ 7. 52/ SP 14. 30/ HJ 2. 16/ 1000m 2. 43. 69. I think only Dan O Brien(WR) and Steve Fritz have ever done better. With a 55m to start I know that Sebrle did over 4300 pnts. But I have no lists with the 55. …
Re: Women's Decathlon
Hey Protasenia, Decathlon for women is not new. Already in 1996 Mona Steigauf did a worldrec. of 6670 points. And she did it in one hour. But at that time the order of events was the same as for men. I hope that deca and hepta will be done by women in the future but I dont think the world is ready for a replacement (deca instead of hep. ) In Talence they have done one in 1994 at the same …
