Ashton Eaton stunned the field in Beijing, setting a new world record of 9045 points to win decathlon gold at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics.
Damian Warner achieved the best time ever run in a decathlon with 10.15 seconds over 100m. He secured his 2nd victory at the Hypomeeting with 8523 points.
Jeremy Taiwo’s career-best came at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene when he scored 8425 points, finishing second only to Ashton Eaton and qualifying for Rio Olympics
