Garrett Scantling won the US Olympic Trials decathlon in 2021 and finished fourth at the Tokyo Olympics with 8611 points. The American raised his personal best to 8867 points in Fayetteville 2022, the same year he won the US indoor heptathlon title with 6382 points.
