I just retired from teaching physical education for 32 years at Farmingdale HS in New York. I coached Varsity Football and Lacrosse throughout my career and loved it. During this time my one hobby was playing & updating my favorite childhood board game "The Decathlon". I always had an affection to this game and our beloved Jim Thorpe, Rafer Johnson, Toomey, Yang, Kuz , Campbell and of course Bob Mathias. After 1976 I couldn't get passed the fact that Bruce Jenner was not in the game. My dad kept saying, the game was made before he was an Olympic Champion. But I was young and did not understand. I said "let's make a sheet". It was very crude, but I did it and of course he was even better than Thorpe. As I got older and bought the game again off of Ebay, I was at it again. It was very difficult but once I stumbled onto Decathlon2000, everything changed. I am now up to 50 decathletes for my game. My retirement days include 1-2 hours in the gym, play with my grandson and the dog and my decathlon game. Thank you Janek, your passion and hard work do not go unnoticed.
My next venture is to hit the US Championships and then the Los Angeles summer Games in 2028. Can you say 2 day tickets for the Decathlon!

Just wondering who is the American air apparent to Eaton?? Do you think it's one of these guys from 2019 US Championship? Well, if the Olympics goes of hopefully we'll find out.

Congrats Ashton, I watched you all the way online and saw everything live. I set my alarm for 4am to watch you streaming live and it was well worth it. You make it look easy and we all know it's not.
