Some fans assiduously are collecting new or corrected datas. It however seems that some of these results get lost. I suspect that it might take too much expenditure of time to search for these data on many different places on this side in order to add them to the sheet. Maybe these updates could find "a home" somewhere on this side? I've recently posted: Pascal Behrenbruch: pole vault: 4,93 m (indoor) Stabhochsprung in der Halle 4.93 Tallinn (EST) 25.02.2012 http://www.all-athletics.com/node/37958 Claston Bernard: discus: 50.74 m Austin, TX 01/04/2004 http://www.iaaf.org/athletes/biographies/country=j.... While it's quite thankworthy idea to create separate thread for posting corrections (much smarter than posting remarks on separate pages) I have some points to make anyway. First, there is no idea in posting corrections, which appear in decathlon/heptathlon results on this site anyway (maybe a pair of days or a week later, as I do not consider it reasonable to renew my lists or personalia files every day, at least as general). Second, if there is a correction/addition I would like to get at least link to results for proofing. The idea behind the watermark with my e-mail address I have put on all lists recently is exactly for this - you know where to send your information (most of you have missed a remark from Janek stating where all corrections have to be sent). Related to this point: posted DT best of Claston Bernard I was not able to find (the date and venue seem to be of Texas Relays, but he did not compete in decathlon, neither did I notice his name in DT results), so I need the proof, naturally not only in this case. Third, sometimes corrections you send are actually included in personal files, but Janek has not noticed it or there is no date/venue information on his page, dedicated to athlete. I such cases it seems reasonable to duplicate you message directly to Janek. You could wonder, what is the reason for this message. Well, for me it is simple - I work full day sitting "nose in screen", at evening I search for decathlons and visit Decathlon2000 not so often as you could think , leaving some time for other life too - but I am also interested in keeping this site operative. Thus, the quicker I get numbers, the quicker they appear on site. Thanks to everyone IP: 82.131.... |

I agree with all your points, Enn, except with one : it' not possible every time to bring to you a link....because this link does not exist anyway. For example, I've found today, the SP record for Ramil Ganiyev. Where ? In one of my 'paper file' (I've collected, during 20 years all the official multi-events results of the French Federation, under paper's version, longgggggggggggg time before Internet exist). What can we do in this case ? IP: 89.227.... |

Agreed - and apologize for posting this (Mayer's PBs) in this thread nevertheless (since it is *no* correction) I wanted to point out the series of PBs of Kevin Mayer in this decathlon, although I had posted the full results and link as comment on the French list! I don't really expect corrected lists right after the event (as you did in the recent days ) And I will furthemore try to add a link everytime when I find data, even if the results are in Russian (where I at least can read the names ) IP: 84.153.1... Considering prehistoric results.... Of course, no way to point a link in such a case, but it is possible to name the source. It could be "official results" in best case (most trustable) or anything else. IP: 82.131.... Posts from the same IP: enn |

Not sure where to post this: You guys have continued to add new decathlete profiles recently including the profiles of some great decathletes of the past. This is well appreciated, thank you very much Enn and Janek, great stuff! By the way: Is there a technical way to mark a profile of an athlete when you have updated something, so that we do not just get aware of a new PB (in example) by random accident? That would be great. IP: 31.18.7... |

Just checked the link to Bernard Claston, Discus PB of 50.74m, Austin (Texas) 1.April 2004 http://www.iaaf.org/athletes/jamaica/claston-berna... It works, what was the problem with it? The result further appears likely since Claston Bernard did study in the United States and started for LSU (Lusiana State University) IP: 31.18.7... Posts from the same IP: eierluke |
