Reminding from Götzis 2001

I have had the pleasure of watching him (Roman Šebrle) compete in Götzis 2001 and he has a great desire to win and an even temperment which is much needed in the decathlon. Only good memories!

in 2001 we just decided last minute to go to Götzis - and of course never regretted it.

an amazing competition that I will certainly always remember.

I can't forget that elderly woman e.g. standing next to me, who was totally out of her mind during the 1.500m.

Unfortunately I've had to leave on Saturday in 2001 an saw the 1500m only live on TV.

Roman Sebrle was very good, but after day 1 I still didn't believe in a WR.


Even if we saw an WR in 2001 (which nobody deserved more than Götzis and Konrad Lerch), I still think 2000 was most memorable Hypomeeting or Deca at all, at least in depth.

Great weather and all the athletes pushed each other!
