Only four weeks to wait ... Clay vs. Hardee But I've also read that Clay has confirmed for Kladno two weeks later. Does anyone if athletes from Cuba are allowed to compete this year (no WC or OG)? |

I think both Andre Niklaus and Romain Barras are also going to compete. |

I don't speak Dutch or Swedish, but on their homepages it looks like if Martineau / NED Sintnicolaas /NED Wiberg /SWE would compete. Don't know if they are up-to-date though. |

On the homepages of these German athletes I've read that they will compete in Götzis: Andre Niklaus http://www.andre-niklaus.he-webpack.de/news.html Arthur Abele http://www.arthur-abele.de (not updated very often though) Jan Felix Knobel http://jfk.spacequadrat.de His goal is to hit the 8000 for the first time Maybe Janek can put the latter ones in the links-page Nothing heared about Norman Müller and Nils Büker On this weekend two competions: Jedermann-Zehnkampf in Berlin http://www.10-kampf-meeting-berlin.de with Andre Niklaus in some events (not sure which ones) Mehrkampf-Challenge in Kreuztal http://www.zehnkampfteam.de/news/challenge-vorberi... with Behrenbruch, Müller, Büker, Knobel Perhaps we know more on Monday... On IAAF page I've read that Suarez and Garcia plan to train in Italy the next weeks and compete in Götzis. Any news about Diaz? What about Sysoyev and Pogorelov (confirmed for Kladno)? |

I've just read about 10 more 8000ers have confirmed for Götzis. I think that is the same news which you got too. Claus Marek talked about the "3rd Götzis-starter Behrenbruch. The other two should be Knobel and Büker. So I don't know about Niklaus, Müller, Abele. Anyway it is gonna be a very strong field |

Norman Müller will compete in Bernhausen this weekend (not sure if in all events) and then in Ratingen four weeks later. Still don't know if Niklaus, Suarez, Garcia really will we there! Nothing heared about Sysoyev, Pogorelov, Diaz, Coertzen. Does anybody know will definately *not* compete in Götzis beside Pappas, Schrader, Eaton, Müller, Abele? Please don't say Hingsen, Thompson ... |

Suarez, Garcia and Diaz have now been confirmed. They obviously had some delay with their Schengen visa and ticket arrangements, but now they are supposed to be in Götzis already. |

Wiberg also is not listed on the official list of participants, though he was reported as a competitor earlier in this thread. Anyone know what the situation is? |

The DECA newsletter #26 has Suarez, Diaz and Wiberg on the list (35 invitees, which is a huge number): http://decathlonusa.typepad.com/deca/2010/05/deca-... |

According to Daniel Almgren's blog Wiberg had to withdraw due to a knee injury he suffered while training in Portugal. http://www.metrobloggen.se/jsp/public/index.jsp/?a... |
