Decathlon 2000 terminology update: from database to archives (0)

May 12, 2026

For more than 25 years, Decathlon 2000 has been known as a decathlon database. As the project has continued to grow beyond rankings and statistics into a long-term historical resource, the terminology across the site has now been updated from decathlon database to the combined-events archives.

This change better reflects the scope of Decathlon 2000 today — a continuously expanding combined-events archive covering results, rankings, athlete profiles, historical records, statistics, and PDF collections.

The content, access, and subscription system remain unchanged. Only the terminology has been updated throughout the site.

If you have any feedback or questions, feel free to contact.

Thank you for supporting Decathlon 2000 and the combined-events community.
